Despite the modern, comfy rooms lacking a bathtub and being slightly adjusted for wheelchair access, my stay was enjoyable with the friendly staff and the convenience of the Tarnished Truth Distillery. However, the service was lacking, with rare responsiveness and a disappointing experience that felt overpriced. The location, close to its own beach club and surrounded by beautiful settings, shows promise for completion in 2020, yet the ongoing construction was a constant disturbance. Dining was best enjoyed at Becca's in the lobby or at the poolside bar/restaurant, offering delicious homemade products.
My stay at the Elegant CAVALIER HOTEL in Virginia Beach was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were beautiful with plenty of extras, making my stay very enjoyable. However, some aspects of the service could be improved, and the completion of the renovations in 2020 will surely enhance the location even more.
The hotel was a total gem, offering a cozy hotel bar with free morning coffee and nightly drink service. Our room on the sixth floor was spacious and boasted a lovely view of the ocean. However, it felt like it could be better utilized as a storage area.
